Pauline Edwards

Hailing from beautiful Victoria BC. Pauline Edwards is going with the flow in a stream of music and creativity. With fourteen years of classical training under the bridge, Pauline's playing reveals a matured personal style that sings to the melody of the soul. From soulful melodies to funky rhythms, whether a carefully engineered soundtrack or an intimate live performance, her violin sings out with a voice that will lift the spirit.

Emerging onto the scene in 2002 with local culture jammers collective KINGBONG, Pauline established herself as an energetic and versatile performer. She has performed and recorded with Toronto's soul/dub group Greenlaw Ave., downtempo soul saviours LAL, including a live performance at the 2004 Ohm festival, and Victoria's own Noah Becker, to name a few. With influences ranging from Stephan Grapelli to Radiohead, Pauline's voice has been compared to the likes of Jewel, Jane Arden and Ani DiFranco. Her first acoustic solo album, CatchingUP, was released in September 2005. Pauline is currently playing violin and singing backup in the Caroline Spence Band, and continues to write songs and perform as a singer-songwriter.
